​MICHAEL McASSEY  spent this spring at The Gateway Playhouse on Long Island music directing and conducting THE FULL MONTY starring Sally Struthers. He also conducted the smash hit  tour of PRISCILLA, QUEEN OF THE DESERT starring Tony Award Winner Jarrod Emick and was in Hilton Head, SC as the Music Director for DIRTY ROTTEN SCOUNDRELS starring Sean McDermott. He also toured the country as the conductor and music director of the Broadway National Tour of TITANIC: THE MUSICAL and spent two years on the road as conductor and music director of the Broadway National Tour of AVENUE Q. In addition he was a Vocal Director for ROYAL CARIBBEAN CRUISE LINES for two years.

Michael has conducted MAN OF LaMANCHA, CHICAGO and THE WILL ROGERS FOLLIES starring John Davidson and spent time in Phoenix at Arizona Broadway Theatre where he helmed THE FULL MONTY, ALL SHOOK UP, A CHORUS LINE, SINGIN’ IN THE RAIN, SUNSET BOULEVARD and Disney’s TARZAN.

Based in NYC, he has music directed at Westchester Broadway Theatre, Theater Barn and Cohoes Music Hall in NY, and The Bickford and Surflight Theatres in NJ. Productions include THOROUGHLY MODERN MILLIE, CAROUSEL,  WHITE CHRISTMAS,  I DO! I DO!,  THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW, RAGTIME, MACK & MABEL, VIOLET and many more.

At the Hilton Hotel in Atlantic City, he music directed and appeared in SMOKEY JOE’S CAFE.  He spent five years in Aspen, CO, as music director and entertainer at the famous CRYSTAL PALACE, and toured with Donny Osmond playing piano for Livent’s JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT.   He appeared with Barbara Cook and Patti LuPone in Paris and toured with Ms. LuPone in her nightclub act, THE ARGENTINA TURNER REVUE.
